Social Media: WordPress Plugins to Increase your Presence
Did you notice how all the big companies and brands are jumping onto the Social Media train? It’s a good thing that they finally understood the value of Social Networks and Online Social Interactions. People are becoming more and more cautious with traditional advertising.
Believe me, if the big guys out there are jumping on social media, there is a good reason for it: we are not anymore in a consumer society where the brands are hammering their messages over and over again to get into the consumer heads. People have seen a lot of it and became cautious with the messages they are receiving from advertisers.
The master/sheep organization of consumerism is disappearing a little more each day and we are taking part into the rise of an exchange society. Brands are interested to know what people think about them and people like being heard by the brands they like. People want to interact: interact with brands, interact with other people, interact with their favorite websites, they want to be part of it!
If I apply this concept to my blog, I MUST take you (the reader) into consideration. Because you are part of the success of this blog, it wouldn’t exist as it does if you were not here to read my posts, to comment and let me know what you think. This blog is a way to share my thoughts and tools but it’s also a way to hear what other people think about my ideas, and how other people are dealing with the issues I am facing every single day.
Though the name may be a little “edgy” for some, SexyBookmarks has proven time and time again to be an extremely useful and successful tool in getting your readers to actually submit your articles to numerous social bookmarking sites. The developer sole aim was to stray away from the “in the box” thinking behind most social bookmarking plugins, and add a little flair that would entice your readers, rather than deterring them with microscopic icons that get lost in pages heavy laden with content.
