Affiliate Summit West 2012 Las Vegas – Adsimilis Dinner and Party
Yesterday I finally got the chance to meet with some people from the affiliate industry during a private invite-only dinner held by Adsimilis.
To be honest this invitation came a little as a surprise since I haven’t really been pushing big traffic to Adsimilis lately, but as I’m always interested to discuss new business opportunities, I accepted the invitation.

I should add that since I’m not used at all to live events, going to a private dinner with only a few people is way easier than networking in a crowded room. Moreover, english not being my first language, when a lot of people are speaking at the same time it gets quite hard to keep up and understand everything. For both these reason, this dinner was just perfect.
There were 3 people from Adsimilis: Naomi Aguero (my Affiliate Manager), Eleah Portillo (Director of Affiliate Management), Michael Ossendrijver (one of the Founders of Adsimilis), and 5 successful affiliates.
The dinner took place in a fancy restaurant called Botero located in the Encore hotel. The food was awesome and the wine was pretty good as well. Congratz Eleah, you made a good choice for the wine ;).
When all the persons around a table are working in the same industry, one would expect the discussion to be focused on business. Well, to my surprise, the discussion was almost not business-oriented at all. I thought there would be a lot more information about affiliate marketing being shared during this dinner, but it didn’t happen.
After the dinner, Sean Mulkeen (the second Founder of Adsimilis) joined us on our way to the XS Club where DJ Tiesto was performing. As if the dinner was not enough, the guys from Adsimilis had booked a table at the club! I can’t even remember the number of vodka bottles that were on our table, but I can assure you that there was a lot of them!
At that point, we were joined by some other people working in the Affiliate space. It was a great opportunity to keep the networking going, even though the place was crowded (as you can see on the following picture).
Once again, I’d like to thank Adsimilis for this amazing night. It was a lot of fun! If you guys are not already running some campaigns with them, you should definitely signup for an account and start pushing traffic to their offers. These guys clearly know how to take care of their affiliates!
