It’s time for a quick recap of March!
That’s another month in the books… And unfortunately it’s ending my streak of positive months.
I knew that having profitable months wasn’t going to work in the short term because I need to invest money into new content to get more visitors, and make more money.
I could wait for years and reinvest only the small profit I’m making every month, but this isn’t really sustainable since my personal expenses are already eating through my small profits.
The only way to make it is to turbocharge my content production for a few months, then wait for about 3 to 6 months for the content to rank, and hopefully it will be enough to cover my expenses and invest in new content after that.
The downside is that the next 6 to 9 months are going to be pretty scary… I’ll be investing every last cent I have to make this work. This will be my Hail Mary of sorts.
Let’s get started with this monthly income report, shall we?
Overall, my revenue went up compared to February so I’m quite satisfied with this.
My traffic was on its way to also be higher in March than it was in February… Then Covid-19.
With stay-at-home orders in effect in a number of countries, traffic to Project 2 plummeted. I’m talking 75% drop within a week.
This isn’t overly dramatic since some other sites such as Project 5 are still picking up speed, but it sucks nonetheless.
I checked my rankings for Project 2, so I can confirm that I didn’t get hit with any kind of penalty. It’s just in a niche that people are not really interested in if they can’t go out.
What about the money?
Here is a summary of the money flow for my various projects.
To make this report easier to understand, I’m using a simple color code: green numbers are positive, red numbers are negative.
Please keep in mind that these figures may not be 100% accurate due to various factors such as refund requests and network adjustments. The terms for each payment may also vary. As a result, these numbers may differ from the actual payments issued and received.

My revenue is up almost $350 compared to the previous month which is really exciting.
However, I have started purchasing content again for one of my site, and it completed negated my profit in revenue.
I ended the month with a small $135 loss.
There goes my streak of profitable months…
I knew this was coming since you can’t really grow online without investing either your time or money.
This whole situation has led me to be more careful than ever with my finances, I am able to plan my strategy for the next 6 months.
Thanks to these income reports, I’ll be able to assess my progress along the way and adjust my objectives and tasks based on the actual traffic and revenue numbers.
What’s happening next?
Starting in April, I’m planning to spend a lot more money in content, for about 4 months.
At which point, I’ll pull the plug on content production and wait for 3 to 6 months and let the content mature while Google starts sending some traffic to it.
This is definitely going to be a roller coaster, but all my numbers and projections are telling me that it’s the only way I’ll manage to get ahead.
Stay tuned for the next update!
