Sell Your Blog On Flippa

Flippa is an auction site where you can sell your blog, your website, or even empty domains. Some bloggers use it to sell a single site and for some their entire business is focused on site flipping. It’s free to join but you do have to pay a listing fee and a percentage of the sale, which is usually split between the buyer and the seller.

Because Flippa is designed specifically for selling online properties they have a lot of features in place to make it easy to showcase your blog. For example, you can upload your Google Analytics files to your listing so buyers can see your actual stats, a thumbnail of your homepage automatically appears with your listing, and you have an area for providing information and seller details.

Flippa is also one of the safest venues for buying and selling websites. Both buyers and sellers are given trust ratings and for an additional fee you can use their escrow service for larger sales.

With Flippa you can enter a Buy It Now price or conduct an auction. If you go the auction route you can choose how long you want it to run.

Sell Your Blog On Ebay

Ebay is a another auction site where you can list your blog with a Buy It Now price or start an auction. Personally, I prefer Flippa because it’s geared more toward buyers and sellers interested in strictly Internet properties. Everything just showcases better on Flippa and appearance is what attract attention first.

However, if you’re more comfortable with Ebay, and some people are, then go for it. Ebay’s buyer protection plan with Paypal makes it a pretty safe choice, too.

Sell Your Blog On Internet Marketing Forums

The Warrior Forum has a special thread for people who want to flip a site. You’ll find a lot of interested buyers there but personally, I don’t think you’ll get the best price. You also don’t have any seller protections at all. But if you’re in a hurry for some quick cash, this is a good place to start.

Sell Your Blog On Your Own Blog

It’s your blog, right? Put a For Sale sign on it and start driving traffic. Promote it in your social networks and reach out into the social networks you don’t already belong to. Talk it up in forums, just like you would any other product you’re promoting.

I have a friend who has a system for setting up quality niche blogs quickly and she turned it into a business. She has a blog where she promotes her blogs. So, if you’re the type who likes to build blogs but you get bored covering the same old topic, consider going into the blog flipping business.

Zowie! I had no idea how people went about this. It always mystified me. TY for clarifying. Doubt I’ll ever reach a point where selling my bloggy-blog is a route I’d take, but you never know…

Great post thanks. Never thought about this, does it apply to Blogger blogs as well?
