A week ago, I launched a Review Contest. The idea is extremely simple: you write a review of Dukeo on your own blog, follow a few rules, and you’re automatically entered to win a cash prize.

To read the full details and participate, click here.

The first week of this contest is over so I’m going to post a recap of the reviews I received so far.

The very good news is that we reached the first threshold of 5 reviews received, so I’m adding an additionnal $100 to the prize pool. Which currently puts it at $300.

To complete the next threshold and add another $100 to the prize pool, I need to receive 10 more reviews before April 15th.

review my blog win 1000

Note: These reviews are not posted in preference order. I add them to my list as they hit my email inbox.

1/ The very first review that I received was written by Elliott Scott on the blog The Climb, A Lifetime. The review is titled: “Can Dukeo’s Blogging Methods Be Trusted?”. Elliott’s post is well structured in several sections and goes over several aspects of Dukeo, from trust to design.

2/ The second review was written by Howard Lee Harkness on the blog His review titled: “Review: Blog” focuses on Dukeo’s content. It mostly puts the accent on the fact that we usually disagree when discussing with Howard in comments.

3/ The third review, published by Laura Brooke-Smith on her blog Building Blog Bridges is titled: “Dukeo and Your BLOGGING Success”. In this review, Laura details her first experience with Dukeo. I must say that it was very interesting to read how someone experienced this blog when visiting for the very first time.

4/ The next review was posted by an anonymous blogger on her blog Casudi. Her review, titled: “Review My Blog ~ Receive $1000 @dukeo”, goe sstraight to the point by criticising the lightbox popup I use to collect emails for my list. Then she goes after Dukeo’s design by saying that it’s not good, but she doesn’t explain at all what are the problems.

5/ Jess Cola was the fifth person to write a review on her blog “View | Point {Handmade Gallery}” and submit a review for this contest. Her review, titled: “Dukeo Review: Online Marketing Blog (Contest Entry)” is a very interesting read. She gracefully introduces her review in a “story-telling mode”, then she goes over what she likes and dislikes about Dukeo.

I’ll keep posting recaps of the reviews I’ll receive. So if you want a chance to win $1,000, some link love as well as some exposure for your blog, write your review now!

    Hi Steven,

Excellent. I submitted my post last week, through my blog. Love what you are doing here.

    Have a great week.

    1. You need to send me a message through my contact form or else I might miss your review.

  2. Howard Lee Harkness

A interesting side-effect of entering the contest: I have learned about 4 other blogs about which I was previously unaware. No doubt there are a few people who have now discovered my humble beginnings of a blog, so now I need to get busy…

    1. I’m really glad if this contest also allows people to connect more with each other :)

  3. Laura Brooke-smith
