Bonjour from France. My name is Stéphane Kerwer and Dukeo.com is my blog. I do most of the heavy lifting in here but from time to time, you may see some guest posts. If you wish to receive updates about Dukeo, subscribe to RSS Feed, follow Dukeo on twitter or become a fan on Facebook.
It just makes me think that there are a lot of corrupt people in the world who could benefit from hearing this. Isn’t this something everyone should teach their children? And wouldn’t the world be a much better place if they did?
I think you accidentally posted twice, dear! No matter, you are absolutely right. This is something everyone should take to heart. It’s hard to look around our world and see how corrupt people have become, how greedy, and how money and power hungry they are. There’s a difference between wanting to make money in your career, to be successful, and making money so that you can have power and control, that will most likely be abused.
Right? hahaha no for real though, I hear what you’re saying, it’s nice to be comfortable! And to be well-off financially. But I think the message is that if that’s all you care about, and you don’t do work that you love in order to gain that money, that in the end you won’t really be happy or fulfilled.
This makes me think of one word: “Rosebud”. If you haven’t seen Citizen Kane, you should. It’s an oldie but goodie. It has this quote written all over it.
Whoa! I like this quote, and I went to look up Marian Wright Edelman on Wikipedia, but I forgot that today a whole bunch of sites in the U.S. are being blacked out in protests of some internet legislation in congress… crazy stuff. Talk about corruption.. Anyways, love this quote, thanks!

Oooh this is a good one! Very very wise words. Greed never gets you anywhere…

I don’t know, personally money and power make me sleep pretty soundly…
