To put it straight, search engines are ranking the value of your website not only thanks to the information you are sharing inside your pages. Sorry to tell you that all the articles you are writing are just worthless if you are unable to get them in front of people’s faces.

That’s true, even if you build the greatest website of all time, it has absolutely no value if there is no traffic visiting your pages. There are many ways to leverage traffic to your blog: social media, link exchange, link buying, news sites…
Today’s focus is on getting backlinks from other webmasters. First of all, you need to focus on websites which are in the same niche as you or at least slightly related. Who cares if your cooking blog has ten thousands links coming from a flash game website?
If other sites in your niche put links to your website, it does mean that you are giving precious information in this field, doesn’t it? Giving you some authority.
In order to start getting backlinks to your website, you can contact other webmasters in your niche and tell them that you are linking to their website because you like their content, and ask them to check out your pages, then if they like your website too, they can put a link back to you. If you don’t ask, you don’t get!

Building links is essential for anyone starting a website. You should devote at least 20 to 30% of your time to building links.
I would probably say even more, like 50% of your time.
Getting links to your website is a task that takes a LOT of time, I would advise anyone to hire a company to do that as soon as you can.
Not everyone has money to pay a company. It’s better to learn how to do it yourself. This way you better understand how things work and you won’t get scammed by companies claiming that they can get you on the first page of Google!
