    Could be true in some cases. I think that was the case for the guy who invented the variable speed windshield wiper. I saw a movie about how GM ripped him off and eventually they had to pay him a lot for using his idea.

    But they tried to brush him off, doing the things you mentioned above

    When the court day finally came along, the inventor won the suite.

      Wow! That adds lots of sense into this saying. We actually need not watch what or how people take or think of us, we rather focus on believing ourselves and work hard and smart to prove them wrong.
