Dukeo’s Commenting Contest Results
Here are (finally) the results of Dukeo’s commenting contest!
Ok, I know it’s been almost a month since the commenting contest ended, but I’ve been pretty busy with all my projects, and I also managed to do a redesign of Dukeo to have a completely original design. (Hopefully, I won’t change it for at least a year!)
Back to the contest! Let’s do a little recap of what happened.
Dukeo’s commenting contest started on May 8th, 2012 and ended on July 6th, 2012.
The participation was not as high as I expected but there were enough motivated people to keep the contest going with a decent number of comments.
A total of 47 persons participated and posted 503 comments in 60 days (which is around 8.4 comments per day).
The battle for the first place was quite fierce and 2 participants were tied for more than 45 days, but in the end, one of them was able to post some extra comments and win the duel.
1st prize goes to Joseph from Victoriapod.com, with 165 comments!
2nd prize goes to David from AllThingsPondered.com, with 132 comments.
Now, let’s jump to the second part of the contest… and the random draw.
As it was explained in the contest rules, each posted comment equals an entry in the draw.
Moreover, 3 people took advantage of the 50 entries bonus by posting about this contest on their blog: Jeffrey Skang, Luke from Peerfly and Quasim from ICCIEV.
I wrote a nice little script to randomly draw the winners and here are the results.
First random winner, with 37 comments plus 50 bonus entries is Luke Kling.
Second random winner, with 1 comment is David Hall.
I don’t know where this last one was coming from, but this shows that all you needed to win a prize was 1 single comment.
I already sent an email to the winners to arrange the delivery.
Thanks to everyone who participated and I’m looking forward to seeing you again on the next contest.
