Obviously the most common benefit of having a popular blog is that you acquire name recognition. People from all over the world may look for your blog simply because they have heard of its content. Your site will be shared on social media, talked about in forums and become the go-to resource for those looking for the information you provide. With that notoriety comes your own brush with fame. Your name will likely become as well known as the blog’s. Others will know who you are even though you have never met. If you decide to pursue further opportunities, this recognition will benefit you significantly.

Opportunities are another benefit of having a successful blog. Many of the most well-known bloggers have been given opportunities that may not have existed otherwise. Some have gone on to write books centered around the topic of their blog. Some have been interviewed on talk shows and news shows. There are even a select few that have moved on to television shows or other media. These chances stem from the success of the blog and give you the ability to travel and meet your fans while still doing what you love.

Being able to devote so much time to something you love is great, but if there is no financial reward it can be hard to maintain. That is why one of the most important benefits to a successful blog is the financial gain it can bring. There are a number of methods that people can acquire an income from their blog and the more popular it becomes the more that income increases. You will go from doing what you love in your spare time to being paid to do what you love. It can make a big difference in your life.

While the benefits that come from a successful life are great, you should never discount the work it entails. The more well-known your blog becomes, the more your readers will expect from you. They will insist that you product quality content at least on a daily basis. You will be expected to comment and keep up with your followers. Over time you may develop a following on other social media as well that must be updated. So even though you are reaping the rewards, you are putting forth the effort. If you are willing to do that, then you will definitely see that opting for the popularity is worth your time.

Well-known bloggers don’t get there by accident. They have something worthwhile to say and they say it well. They build up a following by being straightforward about their topics and cutting through all the crud. You’re right that it takes a lot of work and it takes work to keep that status as well. I don’t pretend to be even near this status, but at least we all have something to aim for here.
