A simple website with 5 or 6 pages may only appear in the search engine indexes 5 or 6 times. But a blog increases your visibility because each post has its own URL. Blogs rank better with the search engines too because they’re constantly being updated with fresh, unique content. Setting up a blog to promote your small business makes it easier for the people in your town to find you.
Blogs are also a great way to drive traffic to an online business, like your Ebay site or your MLM site or if you provide some type of online service such as link building or content creation. Use your blog to link to your business pages and profiles and the links you create will help improve your ranking. You’re using that content to increase traffic and improve your rankings so it has to be good solid content. And again, be sure to vary your anchor text and occasionally link to another site somewhere so your links look natural.
Blogging to make money with your blog
This is the main reason that people start blogs and it’s not always a pretty site.
